About Potter's Herbals

In 1812 when Napoleon was on the retreat from Moscow, a young man called Henry Potter was hanging a sign above his premises in Farringdon Street, London which said “Seedsman, Herbalist and Dealer in Leeches”. He could never have imagined that he had just laid the foundations for what was to become one of the oldest and longest-standing herbal medicine manufacturers.

Over 200 years later the brand has gone from strength to strength.

Potter's Herbals have a long and proud heritage. Their principles of quality, expertise and attention to detail have been laid out when the shop was first opened in 1812, and still this is still followed by the firm to this day.

Potter's traditional remedies aren’t just manufactured they have been created by professionals in their purpose-built, pharmaceutical-grade facility at Wigan, in the heart of the North-West of England. Their experts draw on hundreds of years worth of knowledge and tradition to create multi-ingredient remedies from carefully-selected herbs.
